Women's Basic is a unique course offered at the IAM Winpisinger Center. As you'll see, the week-long session is preparing women Machinists for labor leadership at the local lodge level.
Capital Air Lodge 1759 is an airline
transportation local affiliated with Districts 141, 142, and 143 of
the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers,
AFL-CIO. Local 1759 represents over 2,300 ground service employees
at United Airlines, US Airways, Piedmont Airlines, Delta/Northwest
Airlines, British Airways, Alaska Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.
Our members are employed at Washington National (DCA), Dulles
International (IAD), Norfolk (ORF) and Richmond (RIC) Airports in
the Commonwealth of Virginia.
