As chief executive officer, the president is both the leader and "quarterback" of the "team" of elected officers. He provides leadership through and with the cooperation of the entire executive board. Decisions and recommendations of the executive board become the president's decisions and recommendations.

The three trustees have charge of all property belonging to the lodge, see that all of the books are properly kept, and at the time of the semiannual audit, assist the auditing committee in the examination of all books and accounts and verify the report of the auditing committee by attaching their signatures thereto. Should the work of auditing the books of the lodge be delayed on account of the failure of 1 or more of the trustees to be in attendance, the auditors will carry on the work in the same manner as though all of the trustees were present. The trustees are liable to the IAM Grand Lodge for all funds and other property of the lodge under their control.
